San Jose Man Hospitalized After Home Invasion

A San Jose man is hospitalized Saturday after being beaten up by robbers who broke into his home.

It all went down Friday night in South San Jose--but the victim was just discovered Saturday afternoon.

Police said they got the call around 4 p.m. Saturday after a friend found the victim tied up inside this home. And now, the search is on for two suspects.

Police said around midnight Friday night, two suspects broke into a home on Bougainvillea Drive. The victim was then tied up, as the robbers took some items, police said.

Late Saturday afternoon, a friend stopped by and found his friend tied up and called police.

Friends said the victim, a man in his late 50s, was badly beaten and was taken to Kaiser hospital on Santa Teresa Boulevard.

Neighbors said they are stunned.

"It's really scary," Paula Gallon said. "Because It was close to my parents' house, so I am really concerned."

"You could leave your parents at home and these are the things that are happening in San Jose, when San Jose used to be really safe," Gallon added.  "But now, it's a big concern because it's pretty scary."

And with the suspects still on the run, some neighbors said they feared they may be the next victim.
