Man Suffers Gunshot Wound in East San Jose Shooting

San Jose police are investigating a shooting in East San Jose Saturday night, and the search is on for a gunman.

Police said they received a call just after 7:50 p.m. of a person shot near South King Road and East San Antonio Street. When officers arrived, they found a man inside his car suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, and his condition is unknown.

Police are searching for an unidentified suspect who ran from the scene.

"We're also talking to any additional witness to piece together who the suspects may be so we can track the suspects down," Lt. Derrick Chen said.

The motive is not yet known, and it is unclear if the shooting was gang related.
