San Jose Smoking Ban Could Get Tougher

The City of San Jose may be getting tough on smoking -- again.

The city wants to ban smoking within 25 feet of the entrances of public buildings and private businesses, so smokers will only be allowed to light up once they are 25 feet away from places where smoking is already banned.

San Jose is asking for the public's feedback on the ordinance. Residents can submit their thoughts until Dec. 20 on the city's SanJose.gov website.
