Neighbors of a bar with a very bad reputation celebrated Sunday after the owners closed its doors for good.
The El Tarasco Bar on North 13th Street shut down Friday after the city attorney's office filed a cease and desist order back in October. But the bar failed to comply.
Last week, the city threatened to fine the owners $25,000 if they did not close by Friday. The bar was also slated to lose its liquor license on Tuesday.
Over the years, police have been called to El Tarasco for shootings, fights, prostitution and drugs.
