San Mateo Entrepreneurial School Gets Reality Show

San Mateo's Draper University will be the setting for a new program coming to television this summer.

The self-described "ecosystem for innovators," founded by Tim Draper, will be the subject of "Startup U" on the ABC Family network, according to the Chronicle.

Draper is perhaps best known for Six Californias, his ballot initiative to divide the state into six separate regions, which in 2014 failed to draw enough signatures to get it on the 2016 ballot.

"Startup U" is described as an unscripted reality series that follows a class of 40 through Draper's seven-week entrepreneurship program.

The Bay Area is also the latest locale for Bravo's Million Dollar Listing reality franchise about real estate. The new season, featuring San Francisco, premieres on July 8.
