    The eighth grader was killed last October by a sheriff's deputy who mistook his BB gun for an assault rifle.

    The activists complain the Sonoma County District Attorney Jill Ravitch still has not released her investigation into what happened, and they question whether her campaign for re-election is a factor.

    A suspect shot and killed by Sonoma County Sheriff's deputies in Santa Rosa may have been a 13-year-old boy carrying a replica gun. Bob Redell reports.

    In January, Ravitch acknowledged the receipt of the report late this afternoon at the same time Santa Rosa police announced the investigation was completed.

    A protest over the return of a sheriff's deputy who shot and killed a 13-year-old Andy Lopez after mistaking the replica gun he was carrying for a real one stormed Tuesday's Sonoma County Board of Supervisors meeting. Jodi Hernandez reports.

    "It is time for my staff to begin the process of thoroughly reviewing and considering all the facts and circumstances within the context of the guiding legal principles," Ravitch said in a news release.

    Last week, Lopez supporters asked State Attorney General Kamala Harris for an independent investigation into Lopez's death.
