An elderly woman lost in Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve was  rescued Saturday night after search efforts that lasted nearly six hours,  according to East Bay Regional Park police.

The woman, who is believed to be in her 80s, was found at about 11  p.m. off of a trail, police said.

It appears that she was found in good health, but she was taken to  the hospital as a precaution, police said.

The woman was hiking with her husband, who is also believed to be  in his 80s or 90s, when he could not find her, police said. He called police  for help at about 5:15 p.m., according to police.

The East Bay Regional Park Fire Department and Alameda County  Search and Rescue volunteers assisted with the search efforts.
