NBC Bay Area has learned that the suspect, One Goh purchased the handgun here at the Bullseye Castro Valley Gun shop.

Sources say he bought the weapon after he left the nursing program voluntarily, back in November or December.

They say he was doing fairly well in school but became enraged when he demanded didn’t get a full refund because he was feeling like an outcast or because he claims classmates were cheating.

Goh admitted to police he took four fully loaded magazines of ammunition into the University. He confessed to kidnapping a woman and forcing her from her office into a classroom at gunpoint and ordering students to line up against the wall.

He also told investigators he had a target in mind and planned to kill that person and then turn the gun on himself.

Sources say when he couldn’t find who he was looking for, he started shooting and couldn’t stop. I talked to Sara Lim on the phone...she said she was not the intended target.
