A pedestrian was killed Monday morning on southbound El Camino real under state Route 92 in San Mateo, according to San Mateo police.

One driver stayed in the area, but shortly afterward, police found the driver of a white Buick also possibly involved in the accident.


A Severe Traffic Alert was issued at 7:20 a.m. on El Camino Real, or CA-82, between 17th and 20th avenues due to a severe injury accident, closing all lanes in both directions. All lanes reopened about 8:30 a.m.
