Silicon Valley startups will need 8.6 million more square feet of new office space this year, according to a report by San Francisco research firm Mattermark.

Buzzfeed noted that this is about 1.8 million square feet more than the space inside the two new World Trade Center towers, which are the tallest buildings in the country.

The report included 961 Bay Area startups that are actively in search of bigger offices, as compared to 756 in New York and 420 in Los Angeles.
