Silver Alert Issued for Elderly San Jose Man

Man was last seen Wednesday night in San Jose driving a white 1993 Jaguar XJS




    An elderly San Jose man who was reported missing Wednesday night remains missing and authorities say he is considered at risk, a San Jose police sergeant said.

    Humberto Perez, 74, was reported missing at 9:26 p.m., San Jose police Sgt. Heather Randol said.

    He is considered at risk because he suffers from dementia, she said.

    Police did not release a photo of Perez. He is described as standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 185 pounds and has gray hair and brown eyes.

    The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver alert this morning with information about the vehicle Perez is believed to be in.

    He was last seen in San Jose in a white 1993 Jaguar XJS with California license plate No. 6HIJ174, according to the CHP.

    A Silver alert is issued when an elderly person disappears under suspicious circumstances, according to the CHP.
