Six Shot in South San Francisco

Three Dead in South San Francisco shootings

South San Francisco police responded to a shooting Wednesday night that apparently involved up to six people, according to a dispatcher at the North County Fire Authority.

Of the six people shot, two are dead and one of the six is in critical condition. The remaining three have what the police said were non-life threatening injuries.

South San Francisco police were asked by NBC Bay Area News if the shootings were gang related, and police say they aren't sure at this point.

The dispatcher said ambulances were sent to the scene near the  intersections of Linden Ave. and 8th Lane, but could not confirm any additional details.

Reports of the shooting initially came in at about 7:20 p.m.
