Small Plane Skids Off Runway at Reid-Hillview Airport in San Jose

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating what caused a small plane to skid off the runway in the South Bay.

The incident happened on Reid-Hillview airport in San Jose Saturday morning. Firefighters and police officers responded to the scene.

According to the FAA, a Mooney M20 aircraft landed around 10:30 a.m. It is not clear what caused the pilot to taxi off the runway.

FAA officials said there were no injuries or damage to the plane.

The pilot taxied his plane to the parking area.
