South Bay Cities Rank High on National Well-Being Report

San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Santa Clara rank high on a new report measuring the well-being of communities.

The three cities ranked number eight in a national report conducted by the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index and cited by SFist.

They're the top performers in the state, followed by Los Angeles, Long Beach and Anaheim at number 11 and San Francisco, Oakland and Hayward at number 12.

The key metrics Gallup-Healthways measures to determine well-being include whether people like what they do every day, whether they have enough money to do everything they want to do, whether they feel the city where they live is the perfect place for them, and whether they view their health as close to perfect.
