South Bay Elected Officials Hold Emergency Water Summit

The message Saturday at an emergency water summit in Santa Clara was "We're all in this together."

Elected officials from across the South Bay called for the summit to share ideas on how to fight the ongoing drought. One solution was using more recycled water.

Elected officials said there is one key message they would like to get across.

"Education is one of the most important things when it comes to knowing exactly what's going on, what's expected of our citizens when it comes to water conservation," Morgan Hill council member Richard Constantine said.

The summit also included discussions on alternating watering days and enforcing fines that are in place.
