Southwest Flight Lands Safely After Brief Scare

Southwest Airlines Flight 1030 from Denver to San Jose landed safely at 1:41 p.m., despite a report from the pilot that one of the three tires had potentially blown during takeoff.

Fire crews were dispatched to the airport around 1:15 p.m. after receiving word that the Boeing 737 plane was experiencing a potential problem with its nose gear, a fire dispatcher said.

There were 148 people onboard the plane.
