Stanford Drops Jocks' “Easy” Classes

Stanford University has stopped handing out a list of "easy A" classes to its athletes according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Stanford officials say the list, titled "Courses of Interest", was supposed to help athletes accommodate their demanding schedules, not offer them a list of easy courses. However many athletes say the classes on the list always offered an easy A.

The list was discontinued last week, when reporters started asking questions about it. The Chronicle reports more than a quarter of the courses on the list did not fulfill university general education requirements.
