A large cache of weapons has been seized by law enforcement in Contra Costa County.
Seven different law enforcement agencies worked the case beginning in July after receiving reports of someone trafficking firearms, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday.
Police found "more than 70 guns... including assault rifles, .50 caliber rifles, other rifles, pistols and shotguns" at a home on Raymond Drive in Pacheco. They also confiscated "several hundred thousand rounds of ammunition."
Alex Conley, 26, of Oakland, was arrested and charged with "numerous violations," including multiple felonies. He is in jail, held without bail.
In the meantime, the investigation is ongoing, the sheriff said.
