Strong Odor Gets Georgia Men Busted for Mailing Pot

Come rain or shine, the mail will go through on time. But nobody ever made any promises about the sweet, skunky stink of freshly-cut marijuana.

A pair of Georgia men were busted in Marin this week on suspicion of attempting to mail a few pounds of marijuana back to the Deep South, according to the Marin Independent Journal.

Desmond Irvin, 33, and Corey Allmon, 28, both of Rome, Ga., were arrested at the Embassy Suites hotel in San Rafael after following their noses to the three pounds of marijuana the duo had allegedly prepared for mailing. The pair are suspected of putting another two pounds in the mail on Thursday morning, according to the newspaper.

They were booked into Marin County jail on $15,000 bail each on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale.
