Congressman Mike Honda spoke at St. Cyprian Church in Sunnyvale Saturday during memorial services for the victims of the Sandy Hook School mass-shooting in Newtown, Conn.
Several cities in the Bay Area held memorial services Saturday for the victims of the Sandy Hook School mass-shooting in Newtown, Conn., including St. Cyprian Church in Sunnyvale.
Congressman Mike Honda, D-Calif., was there.
He supported the president's gun violence proposals after the shooting and said it is time to get some of those proposals signed into law.
"What is it can we do as a society?" Honda said. "A village can get together to make that child safe."
