Sunnyvale Fire Kills One, Body in Kitchen

An early morning fire Tuesday at a single family home in Sunnyvale has killed one person, whose body was found in the kitchen. Arturo Santiago reports.

An early morning fire Tuesday at a single family home in Sunnyvale has killed one person, whose body was found in the kitchen.

The blaze occurred just after 6 a.m. in the 200 block of Central and East Evelyn avenues.

Department of Public Safety Capt. Dave Pitts said investigators have no idea what started the fire. He also didn’t even know the gender of the victim.

He added that he wasn’t aware that anyone else was in the home at the time of the fire.
