Super Bowl Opening Night Kicks Off at SAP Center in San Jose

After the excitement of the two Super Bowl teams touchingdown at Norm Mineta San Jose International Airport over the weekend, police showed up early Monday morning to guard the SAP Center in San Jose, where opening night will be broadcast.

The media event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and all the players from the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos will be interviewed by the media on a live television special broadcast by NFL Network. Fans will sit in the stands and watch the interviews up close.

Police and K-9 units arrived as early as 4 a.m. to set up a secure perimeter around the arena.
