A suspect is in police custody after leading officers on a pursuit through San Francisco's Financial District before crashing at 5th and Market streets, police said.

The chase began at about 5:30 p.m. Monday after Bayview District officers attempted to arrest a wanted parolee, who was flagged as armed and dangerous, located at the 1400 block of Innes Ave. The suspect got into a vehicle and fled the area, hitting a house and a parole officer, which prompted the pursuit, police said.

The hit officer was not injured, according to SFPD.

Police said the pursuit ended near the Westfield Shopping Center when the suspect struck two cars and injured two people, who suffered non-life threatening injuries.
