Tahoe Execs Join Push for Winter Games in 2022

The Olympic flame has burned at Squaw since 1960.

California ski resort executives are hoping to bring the Winter Olympics back to Lake Tahoe in 2022.

Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows CEO Andy Wirth, along with Vail Resorts co-president Blaise T. Carrig have been chosen for the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition board.

The 32-member board includes Nevada's Lt. Governor, and former Olympians Daron Rahlves and Tamara McKinney.

Squaw Valley hosted the Winter Olympics in 1960.
