Tesla Preaches Green in San Jose

Tesla opened its second Bay Area store this weekend in San Jose.

Santana Row is now the new home of Tesla, ahead of the the launch of the Model S sedan next year.

The new Tesla store is being described as an Apple-type store with interactive displays that allow would be buyers to build their own Tesla cars.

The screens will also give shoppers the chance to go behind the scenes and actually learn about the electric energy powering the car.  Tesla also leased a few parking spaces out back where folks can jump on in for a test drive.

The store front was packed all weekend, according to shoppers.

Tesla already has 14 stores across the globe with one in Menlo Park being the only other Bay Area store.
