Berkeley police are on the lookout for a thief who steals tip jars and more from small businesses.

They are hoping some security camera images of the man will help identify him.

Berkeley police say he allegedly stole two tip jars from stores in the 1800 block of Euclid Avenue earlier this month and a laptop from a store in the 1500 block of Shattuck Avenue last month.

The suspect is described by police as: “African American Male, 35-40 years old,’7”-5’10”, 180-190 pounds, dark complexion, black hair receding hair line, pulled back into a ponytail wearing dark frame glasses.”

Anyone with any information about the suspect is asked to contact the Berkeley Police Department.
