Thieves Targeting Laptops on Stanford Campus: Police

Police are reporting a crime spike on the Stanford campus.

Since September when fall classes started, 72 computers have been reported stolen, according to police. Most of the thefts have occurred in the last two months.

Police said laptops are being stolen from offices, research dorms and student dorms. Investigators said they have two persons of interest in the case, but have not made any arrests.

Investigators also believe the suspects may be posing as a student or employee.
