Three Bodies Found Inside North Bay Home

Investigators said it was not a murder suicide, and not a random act

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene of a deadly shooting in the Forestville area Tuesday afternoon.

The Sonoma County Emergency Dispatch Center said three people were killed at 9707 Ross Station Road. The home is in a heavily wooded area near Iron Horse Vineyards.

The first 911 call came in around 3:15 p.m.

A deputy on the scene said all of the victims had been shot. A neighbor of the property told the Press Democrat that police told her to stay inside her home and lock her doors.

Later a sheriff's deputy said that the public at large was not at risk, adding that the shooting was not a random attack. Investigators said the incident was not a case of murder suicide.

It was not immediately clear how long their bodies might have been inside the home.

The property where the shootings occurred has three homes and a cabin.  The bodies were found inside a back bedroom of the cabin, according to the paper.
