Police said a child brought a pellet gun to the bus stop in Plainfield on Tuesday.

Three people were injured in two separate shootings in Oakland Saturday night, a police officer said.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1600 block of 36th Avenue a short time after 10 p.m. Saturday and found two victims who had been struck by the gunfire. Both were taken to local hospitals in stable condition, according to Officer Kevin McDonald.

Around 12:10 a.m., officers responded to another shooting in the 7800 block of Ney Street, where one person had been shot. That victim also went to a hospital in stable condition to be treated for a gunshot wound, McDonald said.
