Contra Costa County firefighters battled three suspicious fires in less than an hour in Antioch, in what investigators are now saying were probably set by at least one arsonist.

The first call came in at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the corner of 18th and L streets, after someone called in to say a tree was on fire.

The second call came in at 10:39 p.m. at 1202 Sycamore Drive about two separate fires at the same strip mall, where at least one store, called 99 Cent, was damaged.

Firefighters say all three fires seem suspicious.
