Time Ticking on Unclaimed Lottery Jackpot

Maybe the person holding an unclaimed winning California Lottery ticket just really wants to help the state's failing school system.
Not likely, but that's where the $103,000 will go if someone doesn't step forward soon to collect a MEGA Millions jackpot that was bought five months ago at Los Gatos 7-Eleven.
Winning tickets must be claimed 180 days after the drawing. That means the time to cash in on this ticket is down to just about a month. The winning numbers are 48, 12, 24, 7, 36 and the Mega number is 27h $103,875, but only until its Nov. 11 expiration date.
Johnston said tickets worth this much money do't usually go unclaimed for so long.
