Starting at 6 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. tomorrow, you can start dialing 800-222-4357 (AAA-HELP) for a ride and tow home of up to five miles. Just tell the operator you need a Tipsy Tow.
Drinking drivers, bartenders, restaurant managers and party hosts are all encouraged to take advantage of the offer.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says in 2008, drunk driving crashes accounted for 36% of highway deaths of young people age 16 to 24. They say just one drink alone can impair vision and affect a driver's steering, braking, judgment and reaction time.
