‘Can't Imagine Why The Raiders Want to Go to LA:' Tweets Show Pepsi Cups Taped to Ceiling to Catch Leaks at O.co Coliseum

The Oakland Raiders O.co Coliseum has been in the news quite a bit lately, and this week Kendall Gammon, an announcer for the Kansas City Chiefs, tweeted out a photo of cups taped to the ceiling of the stadium's luxury suites — presumably to catch leaks.

"Yes those are cups taped to the ceiling to help w leaks #NOT," Gammon tweeted.

Nate Wetmore, who was visiting from Kansas City, also tweeted out a photo of the Pepsi cups, with the tagline: "Can't imagine why the Raiders want to go to LA."

NBC Bay Area has reached out to the Raiders for comment.

Gammon later tweeted out a photo of an old tube TV, saying: "'She's a beaut Clark' #NOTHD."

The stadium's decrepit state — including periodic sewage floods in locker rooms — has been very well chronicled by the media.

Oakland's mayor is pushing to keep the Raiders in the city, but has yet to propose a financial plan to make that happen. The NFL announced Monday that the league is open to helping the Raiders build a new stadium near O.Co Coliseum. [[361306091, C]]
