A 3-year-old boy died at Children's Hospital Oakland Monday after an early morning crash that killed his mother and uncle and seriously injured his twin brother, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Tiffany Denise Reynolds, the 26-year-old Richmond woman who was driving the vehicle, was arrested less than two hours after the 1:30 a.m. crash. She allegedly lost control of the 1990 Honda Accord on northbound Interstate 880, traveled across multiple lanes and crashed into a concrete wall near Hegenberger Road, CHP Officer Sam Morgan said.
Morgan said she was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license and three counts of vehicular manslaughter.
She remained hospitalized Monday afternoon with a severe chest injury and a fractured neck, according to Morgan.
Reynolds' domestic partner, 23-year-old Sara Marie Terra of Richmond, and Terra's 20-year-old brother David James Terra of Modesto, were pronounced dead at the scene, Morgan said.
Sara Terra's 3-year-old twin boys were also in the car at the time of the crash. One boy was thrown from the car and the other was found pinned beneath the steering column, according to Morgan.
The children had not been restrained at the time of the crash and child car seats were not found at the scene, according to Morgan.

The Alameda County coroner's bureau was called to Children's Hospital Oakland at about 9:30 a.m. after one of the boys died from his injuries. The other boy remained in critical condition Monday afternoon, Morgan said.
