Twitter is looking into allowing branded pages for advertisers.

Twitter copies Facebook, Facebook copies Twitter, Google copies Facebook and Twitter, Facebook copies Google. Need I go on?

Twitter is considering implementing Facebook-style branded pages in an attempt to increase it's revenue via advertising, says Marketing Magazine.

A source close to the project says Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, and president of revenue, Adam Bain are pushing the project.

Currently there is little a company can do to promote themselves on Twitter profile pages. With the new pages, advertisers will be able to brand their own space, deliver content and encourage users to follow them.
