In another sign that the American auto industry is making a comeback, San Francisco-based Twitter is opening an office in Detroit.
The micro-blogging site is following the suite of several other notable tech companies who have recently opened offices in the motor city.
Google opened an office two years ago in a Detroit suburb.
Now Twitter is hoping to get closer to the auto industry with its office in Detroit. The social-networking company already has offices in the Midwest in Chicago and Cincinnati.
The company says it will have a "handful" of employees in Detroit, whose aim will be to work with the auto industry.
