Twitter's Block in SF is Among City's Dirtiest: Report

Smelly, dirty, and downright foul. And that's just Twitter's block!

The block of Market Street in San Francisco where Twitter has set up its global headquarters is also the dirtiest commercial corridor in the city, according to reports.

The San Francisco Chronicle notes that a city controller's office survey rated the stretch of Market from Seventh to 11th streets "the dirtiest" in town -- and "among the city's smelliest."

That's out of 184 different corridors, meaning "Twittertown" had some competition.

One street smelled worse: Taylor Street from Market to O'Farrell, according to the paper, with other winners for offensive odors including Third Street, Bush Street, the Central Freeway, and Central Avenue from Buena Vista Park to the Panhandle, according to the newspaper.
