The home seems to have been what's characterized as a "hoarder" situation.

Two elderly men were killed in a fire that blazed in San  Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood early this morning, a fire dispatcher  said.

The fire was reported at 181 Vienna St., near John McLaren Park,  at 3:34 a.m. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire at 4:11 a.m.,  according to a fire dispatcher.

Furnishing, food products, cans and other debris hampered rescuers' efforts in recovering the bodies.

NBC Bay Area has a crew en route to the scene.
