Golden Bear Trading Company, on 6th Avenue in San Francisco near the UCSF Medical Center, came in at No. 9 on Yelp's Top 100 Places To Eat In the U.S. For 2015, the website's official blog reported.
That was the best Bay Area-based showing on the list.
Golden Bear is a favorite with medical workers and visitors to the hospital on Parnassus Avenue. The market offers coffee and baklava as well as "great atmosphere," Yelpers attest.
Also on the list: Andytown Coffee Roasters in the Outer Sunset (No. 23), and Buddha Thai Bistro in Vacaville (No. 20).
Buddha Thai has a perfect five-star rating on Yelp.

Four other Bay Area eateries cracked the Top 100: Jougert Bar in Burlingame at No. 42, Nick's Next Door in Los Gatos at No. 75, Don Julio's Rincon Latin Grill and Pupusas in Rohnert Park at No. 76, and Peter's Kettle Corn in Oakland at No. 81.
