Two Wanted in N. Bay Jewelry Shop Theft

Gold Rush Jewelers in San Rafael was the victim of a snatch-and-grab robbery Thursday.

According to the Marin Independent Journal, the thief asked the clerk to show him two watches and when the man said he wanted to buy one, and then ran off when the clerk turned away.

Witnesses said the thief jumped into a gold Toyota Camry  with a woman behind the wheel.

The suspect is described as Hispanic or light-complexioned black man, with a dark mole on the left side of his face.

Anyone with information is urged to call the San Rafael police at 485-3000.
