Officials say a fourth-year medical student  at the University of California, San Francisco died after being injured during a brawl over the weekend at a San Francisco nightclub.

The medical school identified the victim on Tuesday as 30-year-old Joe Olivares Hernandez. Authorities say Hernandez was taken off life support earlier in the day after his organs were
 harvested for donation.

Hernandez was knocked unconscious and a 26-year-old man also suffered injuries during a fight at the Temple Nightclub around 1:10 a.m. Sunday.

Police tell the San Francisco Chronicle two people suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds in another fight that broke out at the club about 35 minutes later.

No arrests have been made in either fight. City officials have ordered the club to increase security.
