USPS Honors Joe Dimaggio With a Stamp

USPS

Joe Dimaggio will be on a USPS stamp that is available for purchase online.

Now you can take a lick of one of San Francisco's brightest stars.

Martinez born and San Francisco raised Joe Dimaggio is being honored by the United States Postal Service with his own stamp.

Dimaggio is being featured in a series of old-time players called the "Major League Baseball All-Stars," which includes Ted Williams, Wille Stargell and Larry Doby.

The Yankee great led New York to 10 pennants and nine World Series titles. Dimaggio spent much of his youth in San Francisco's North Beach district.

The stamps will initially only be available online or at certain east coast post offices.
