United Flight Returns to SFO After Suffering Engine Issue

A United Airlines flight bound for Washington D.C. successfully returned to San Francisco Wednesday morning after declaring an emergency engine issue, according to the FAA.

United flight 408 departed San Francisco International Airport around 7:30 a.m. for Washington Dulles International Airport, but it was forced to turn around shortly after taking off, according to the FAA. The Boeing 777 landed without incident around 8:30 a.m.
