The San Francisco Giants' historic Game 7 victory Tuesday over the St. Louis Cardinals captured the National League pennant -- and captured the hearts of many a Cardinals fan.

More than a few upset Cardinals fans, sore over their team's 9-0 loss in rainy San Francisco, after the Redbirds were staked to a 3-1 lead in the series, took to Twitter to express their anger and frustration. And their dislike of all things San Francisco -- which is apparently an AIDS-ridden haven for depraven "homos."
SFist published some of the worst offending homophobic tweets published by Twitter users identifying themselves as St. Louis fans.
One user, Aaron York, tweeted at @ayork14 about "another aids epidemic." Another, Andrew Danter, tweeted that San Francisco is most famous for "AIDS."
