It's a simple but powerful concept. If everyone devoted just some of the time and energy they devote to social media to making changes in our behavior, we could change the planet.

Whether it's using social media to spread green ideas, or simply asking everyone one of the millions that use various social platforms to adopt a green practice for a day the change could be staggering.

Need an example? If all Twitter users shut down their computers for an hour it would be like taking 9,128 cars off the road every year.
