Gas Leak Capped After Truck Crashes Into Building in San Francisco's Outer Richmond

Several streets were blocked off and residents were told to avoid the area of 41st Avenue and Balboa Street in San Francisco's Outer Richmond Tuesday afternoon after a truck drove into a building, police said.

The truck was only occupied by the driver, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police. A strong odor of natural gas was detected following the crash.

PG&E crews responded to the scene and capped the gas leak.

No other information was immediately available.
