A box truck burst into flames at the Benicia Bridge toll plaza Friday afternoon, closing two lanes prior to the evening commute, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The truck tried to drive through the tollbooth at about 12:45 p.m. but caught on fire, damaging the toll plaza and closing lanes 6 and 7, according to the CHP.
The truck did not crash into the tool plaza and the fire started inside the truck, CHP officials reported.
No injuries were reported.
No additional information was immediately provided.
