Emergency responders are making their way to a vehicle thatappears to have crashed down a 300-foot ravine in Santa Cruz County, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The vehicle was spotted at about 12:10 p.m. off of state Highway 9 and Redwood Gulch Road, near the border between Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties, CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett said.
Firefighters were preparing to repel down the ravine to reach the vehicle, Bartlett said.
It has not been determined if the vehicle was occupied, but it appeared that it had crashed about two days ago, according to the CHP.
The incident remains under investigation.
