Victims Bound and Gagged, Dumped in San Francisco Street

A man is dead after he and a woman were found bound and gagged in the middle of a street in San Francisco's Bayview District Sunday night.

The two victims were found at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 900  block of Brussels Street, according to San Francisco Officer Albie Esparza.

Both were alive at the time they were found, but the man, possibly  in his 20s, was unconscious, Esparza said.

They were both transported to San Francisco General Hospital where  the man died about midnight.

The woman's condition is considered  life-threatening, Esparza said.

"The bodies were dumped in front of my grandmother's house, " Charles White said. "There was a lot of blood. Usually this is a quiet neighborhood ."

The motive for the crime is unknown and remains under  investigation, police said. There are no suspect descriptions available yet.

Police said the incident is being treated as a homicide. Still, some neighbors were taking it in stride.

Angelo Musanti lives next door. "I don't plan to move," he said. "Where are you going to go? This could happen anywhere."

Anyone with information on the case can call anonymously at (415)  575-4444 or texting TIP411 and leading with SFPD in the message.
