WATCH: Bay Area Rescue Dog's Reunion With Her Puppies Goes Viral

When the agency posted a photo of one of their rescue dogs reuniting with her four puppies on Monday, the video went viral on Facebook, receiving more than two million views.

According to a spokesperson from Marin Humane, the mother, who was scared and withdrawn at first, "opened up and was obviously extremely happy upon seeing her puppies again."

“Yesterday, two frightened dogs were surrendered to us. Upon examining the female, we learned she recently had puppies,” Marin Humane Society wrote on their Facebook page Monday. “After some detective work and a lot of convincing, our team was able to get the person who surrendered the dogs to also surrender the puppies, as they still needed their momma and were not in a safe situation.

We captured the moment when sad and scared mom got to see her puppies again. Tears of joy all around at this happy reunion.”

Thousands commented on the instant personality change in the mama dog: “Mama's tail started wagging instantly! She knew her babies!” one commenter said.

On Wednesday, the agency posted a longer version of the video, with the caption: "WOW! Our video of the momma and puppies who were reunited has gone viral! Eat your heart out Kim Kardashian - there's nothing like the power of heartwarming stories about animals!"

Once they are old enough, the Marin Humane Society will find all the puppies and their mom good homes.[[371595861, C]]
